Résumé | Summary

Je travaille comme conceptrice de logiciels de tests, dans le département d’ingénierie chez Averna. De plus, j’étudie dans le domaine de l’imagerie médicale depuis 2005. Je poursuis une maîtrise-recherche sur ce sujet, plus spécifiquement sur l’élastographie en tomographie par cohérence optique (OCT). Je devrais avoir terminé mon projet d’ici le printemps 2010.

À part les sciences, j’ai ma propre compagnie de fabrication de bijoux de haute qualité. J’achète, je conçois, je fabrique, je photographie, et je vends des bijoux. Je me suis entourée de trois associées/amies/employées. J’ai créé un site web pour montrer et vendre mes bijoux. J’ai des clients un peu partout, surtout dans la grande région de Montréal, mais aussi partout au Canada et aux États-Unis.

I work as a software developer, in the Engineering department at Averna. I am also studying in biomedical imaging since 2005 and am currently working on a master’s degree in research on this topic, specifically on optical coherence tomography (OCT) elastography. I should be done by Spring 2010.

Aside from science, I have my own business in jewelry making. I buy, design, make, photograph and sell jewelry, along with some friends, but I am the natural leader. I also designed a website to showcase and sell my work. I have customers everywhere in Canada and the USA.

I use LabView to create very personnalised softwares for this group insurance office. The first one manages clients and their employees, as well as personal information. It can send emails, remind problems, make and print proposals, etc. It has a search function. The second software is sent out to all the clients and is useful for the manager to calculate all the deductions, get the necessary forms, automatically send status changes, etc.

I used LabView to create a very personnalised software for this research group, who lends its high-tech apparatus to researchers and industrials as well. It can manage clients and their associated users, as well as personal information. It can send emails, make and print invoices, calculate statistics, etc. It has a search function. Users can input their work time on the machines without interfering with the assistant’s work.
